Prof.Sun Woong Kim Korea (Republic of)

Doctor Kim graduated from Yonsei University and completed his ophthalmic residency and fellowship training at Yonsei University Severance Hospital. He graduated from Graduate School of Yonsei University and became a PhD in the field of biochemistry. He had been visiting and working as a research scientist in 2017~2019 at Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, University of California, Irvine. Now he is the director of Department of Ophthalmology, Yonsei University Wonju Severance Christian Hospital. He has been on faculty at the Yonsei University since 2015. He is currently professor in department of ophthalmology, global medicine and Deputy dean of Yonsei University Wonju College of Medicine. He is currently the associate director of Scientific Program Committee of Korean Ophthalmology Society (KOS) and director of Academic affairs of Korean Cornea Society (KCS), and board member of many ophthalmological societies. His research focus on regenerative medicine for cornea and meibomian glands and he has conducted many clinical studies on dry eye, MGD, and cataract and refractive surgery.
