Dr. Wan-Ju Annabelle Lee, M.D., Ph.D., is an ophthalmologist and clinical researcher based in Tainan, Taiwan. She currently practices at Chi Mei Medical Center and serves as an Assistant Professor at National Cheng Kung University School of Pharmacy, where she enjoys mentoring students and helping them connect real-world clinical questions with evidence-based approaches. Born in Chiayi and trained at National Cheng Kung University, Dr. Lee completed both her medical degree and residency in ophthalmology before earning her Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her career has taken her through medical centers, community clinics, and academia — a journey that continues to shape how she sees patients and the health-care system. Her main interests include neuro-ophthalmology, pharmacoepidemiology, ophthalmic pharmacology, and retinal vascular diseases. She is passionate about bringing population-based data into clinical decision-making and has published widely in SCI-indexed journals. Beyond research, she also contributes to scientific publishing. She has served as a reviewer for numerous journals and is currently Deputy Editor for the Journal of Medical Case Reports. Outside of medicine, Dr. Lee appreciates the stories behind every patient encounter and believes that good care begins with listening. Her career continues to be guided by curiosity, compassion, and a desire to bridge clinical practice with real-world evidence.
