Dr. Cheng-Kuo Cheng is the Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology and Head of of the Vitreoretinal Service at Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital in Taipei, where he has been a dedicated faculty member since 1992.
He also serves as an Associate Professor at the School of Medicine, Fu-Jen Catholic University.
Dr. Cheng is currently the President of the Taiwan Retinal Society for the 2024-2025 term and holds the posion of Editor-in-Chief for the Taiwan Journal of Ophthalmology, the officia journal of the Taiwan Ophthalmology Society (TOS), where he is also a supervisor.
With a long-standing focus on vitreoretinal research, Dr. Cheng has pubished over 70 papers in the field. He has also contributed significantly to multinational and multicenter research projects.
He earned his medical degree from National Taiwan University and completed his ophthalmology residency at National Taiwan University Hospital. From 1993 1994, he conducted research and completed a vitreoretinal fellowship at Duke University Eye Center in Durham, USA.
