Dr. Vicente Victor D. Ocampo, Jr. graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine in 1996 and proceeded directly to take his residency in Ophthalmology at the Philippine General Hospital. He had his fellowship training in Uveitis and Ocular Immunology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary - Harvard Medical School from 2000-2001. Dr. Ocampo completed his Masters in Hospital Management degree in 2022. He is a diplomate of the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology.
His area of expertise is ocular inflammation and its associated systemic disorders with published articles on this matter. Dr. Ocampo was the President of the Philippine Ocular Inflammation Society (2016-2021) and was a member of the International Council of the International Ocular Inflammation Society (2027-2021). He is currently the head of Uveitis Service at the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center.
Dr. Ocampo is a highly-regarded and proven leader. He is the Immediate Past President of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology (PAO) and is the Founding President of the Metro Manila Ophthalmology Society. He served as President of the PAO from 2022-23 and was Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Ospital ng Makati from 2018-2024. He has been the Vice-Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at Asian Hospital and Medical Center from 2021 up to the present.
