Dr. Yu-Hsuan Huang is an esteemed ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and laser refractive surgery, as
well as myopia control. He currently serves as the Director of the Ophthalmology Clinic at Shilin Universal Eye
Center. With a commitment to advancing the field, he holds significant leadership roles,
including Supervisor of the Ophthalmological Society of Taiwan (TOS) and Secretary General of the
Intraocular Implant & Refractive Society of Taiwan (IIRST).
A strong advocate for integrating technology in medicine, Dr. Huang has focused on the intersection of
ophthalmology and computer science throughout his career. As Chair of the Computer Sciences and
Information Committee of TOS, he has been instrumental in developing an online learning platform and
establishing an official Line@ account for the society. These initiatives enhance educational resources for
ophthalmologists across Taiwan and facilitate the sharing of innovative surgical techniques.
Dr. Huang earned a PhD in Computer Science from National Taiwan University, where his research
concentrated on augmented reality surgical training in ophthalmology. This groundbreaking work

numerous accolades, including the Distinguished Alumni Award from Chang Gung University and a win at
