Dr. Tso-Ting Lai is an attending vitreoretinal specialist at National Taiwan University Hospital and an Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine, National Taiwan University. Dr. Lai completed his residency and vitreoretinal subspecialty training at National Taiwan University Hospital and has also served as a research fellow at the Duke University Eye Center and a clinical observer at Beaumont Hospital in the United States. His work has been recognized with multiple awards, including the APVRS Constable Lecture Award and top honors from the Taiwan Retina Society.
Dr. Lai’s research focuses on vitreomacular interface diseases, retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), and optical coherence tomography biomarkers in retinal disorders, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals including Retina, Eye, American Journal of Ophthalmology, and Ophthalmology. He has contributed important findings on lamellar macular holes and epiretinal proliferation, myopic traction maculopathy, ROP screening validation, and national ROP management recommendations. Through his combined clinical expertise and research productivity, Dr. Lai continues to advance evidence-based care and innovation in retinal diseases and pediatric retina.
