Prof.Yao Ke China

Professor Yao Ke is one of the well-known ophthalmologists and cataract surgeons, with a distinguished career marked by exceptional leadership and contributions across various fields. He is the the current President of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society (COS), the Immediate-Past President of Asia-Pacific Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (APACRS) and the President of Chinese Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (CSCRS). Professor Yao is also the Board Member of International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO), the Regional Secretary and Council Member of Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO). He was voted as member of the Academia Ophthalmologica Internationalis (AOI), fellow of Academy of Asia-Pacific Professors of Ophthalmology (AAPPO) and member of International Intraocular Lens Implant Club (IIIC). Being the current President of the COS, Professor Yao is devoted to promoting communications and academic exchanges regionally and globally. He served as the Scientific Program Chair of World Ophthalmology Congress 2022, 2024 & 2026 and the Convener of the Cataract Programs for APAO Congress 2018. Professor Yao was also invited to deliver a promoting message for AAO 2020 to encourage ophthalmologist from China and Asia-Pacific region to attend AAO meeting. Academically, Professor Yao is dedicated himself to clinical studies and basic researches on cataract. He is the pioneer and promoter of the modern cataract surgeries in mainland China. His research contributions include 22 national patents, 33 books and textbooks, 578 clinical and scientific papers with 344 published in peer-reviewed international journals.
