Prof.Kenichi Namba
Doctor Namba graduated from Hokkaido university 1992 and complete ophthalmology residency at Hokkaido University Hospital, Sapporo, Japan, he received his PhD degree from Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine 1998. Then, he worked as a research fellow with Prof. Andrew W Taylor and Prof. J Wayne Streilein at Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA 1998~2001. Now he is Chief Physician of Division of Intraocular Inflammation, Division of Ocular Allergy, Clinical Professor of Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine and Graduate School of Medicine, Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan. His main interest of research is in the field of ocular inflammation, including uveitis and allergic conjunctivitis, and ocular surgery for these diseases. He had been a Board Member of Japan Ocular Inflammation Society (JOIS) for 9 years, and now is a Supervisory Director of JOIS and a Board Member of Global Ocular Inflammation Workshop (GOIW).
